We do this by working with each player's unique body and abilities at a level appropriate to the player. Every session at Power Plus is a collaboration. The player's job is to bring motivation and a healthy intensity. Our job is to give the player the keys that unlock results. At Power Plus we care about the overall development of each player and strive to create a positive atmosphere that is inclusive to every athlete.

Unfortunately, many hockey players have learned to skate in ways that aren't very efficient. These players use their bodies in ways that actually limit their power and speed. Over time, these repeated errors become habits that limit the player's hockey performance.
Power Plus owner Tanya Chomyc has developed an easy-to-understand, challenging set of progressive drills designed to erase inefficient skating habits and improve skating performance. Based on her extensive skating training and years of hockey experience, Tanya's proven method helps players to break down limiting habits and build powerful new skating skills that really work.
Under Tanya's direction, the Power Plus team of experienced trainers guides players through a unique program of drills and exercises. Beginning with the fundamentals, players are shown how to break out of inefficient skating habits and replace them with technique that delivers more power, agility, and control. The training literally re-patterns each player's body to develop the stride and moves that are best for that player.
Depending on the program, training may include both on-ice and dry land evaluations and skills training. As players progress through the unique system of drills, their bodies learn to make a habit of the newer, faster moves. The skills become automatic. The result is improved speed, power, and agility—and better hockey.
There are no shortcuts to great skating or great hockey. Power Plus helps players to build the stamina, training attitude, and body control that will help them excel at the game. Here are some of the skills that will improve:
